There are many ways that friends and supporters of classical music can help the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival. Some ways of helping are financial; others invite an investment of your personal time and skills through volunteering.

Many supporters like to do both, because they say when you volunteer, you get to know and share ideas with other music lovers who are both inspired and inspiring!

“Music is enough for a lifetime, but a lifetime is not enough for music”

— Sergei Rachmaninov

World-class musicians and the natural beauty of Orcas Island come together to create something magical – the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival. It’s a truly unique experience for all who attend, and the memories can last a lifetime.

The Festival has grown to include music education programs for students and community musicians, as well as intimate Salon Concerts, Pre- and Post- Concert Lectures and Music Lovers’ Seminars. None of this would be possible without our donors.

If you would like to ensure the success of Orcas Island Chamber Music for future generations, please consider making a planned gift . Board members, Artistic Director Aloysia Friedmann or Executive Director Anita Orne will meet with you to discuss the various options available:

Planned Gift
You may be considering a planned gift such as a bequest, appreciated property or securities, life insurance or charitable trust. Your commitment now will ensure a healthy future for the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival. Guidance from your tax advisor will describe the specific actions necessary. We are ready to discuss with you the impact of your legacy gift.

The Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival Endowment Fund was established with a cornerstone gift from the estate of Rosalie Chantiny, matched by a gift from the Valerie and William Anders Foundation. In early 2008 a significant contribution from Phyllis and Robert Henigson brought the OICMF Endowment Fund to our first goal level of $250,000+. The Endowment Fund forms the base of stability for OICMF’s long-term financial healthy. Your gifts will remain invested in the endowment in perpetuity generating an annual disbursement of 2-5%.
