Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival Featured in Prime Time on KING FM All Week!
NW Focus It’s opening week for the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival, and KING FM in Seattle is rolling out the red carpet.  All this week on Northwest Focus on Classical KING FM 98.1 at 8:00pm, announcer Sean MacLean will feature some of the music to be performed during the Festival, as well as concert information, during his program.  Tune in or listen online at www.king.org.

Following are the selections they’ll feature, the times you can hear them, and the Festival concerts in which they’ll be performed:


Monday, Aug. 5
– Brahms Piano Quartet No. 3 in C minor, Op. 60, airing at approximately 8pm.  To be performed
Aug. 9 at 7:30pm and Aug. 10 at 5:30pm on Orcas, and Aug. 11 at 5pm on Lopez Island in Three’s  Company concerts.
–      Beethoven Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-sharp minor, Op.27, No. 2 Moonlight,  at approximately 8:34pm. To be featured Aug. 13 at 7:30pm and Aug. 14 at 5:30pm in Moonlit Music concerts.
Tuesday, Aug. 6 – Shostakovich Viola Sonata, Op. 147 at approximately 8:05pm.  To be performed Aug. 13 at 7:30pm and Aug. 14 at 5:30pm in Moonlit Music concerts.
Wednesday, Aug. 7 – Mozart Piano Trio in G, K.496 at approximately 9:18pm.  Performed Aug. 9 at 7:30pm and
Aug.10 at 5:30pm on Orcas and Aug. 11 at 5pm on Lopez Island in Three’s Company concerts.
Thursday, Aug. 8  –  Ravel Piano Trio in A minor at approximately 8:08pm.  To be performed  Aug. 9 at 7:30pm and Aug. 10 at 5:30pm
on Orcas and Aug. 11 at 5pm on Lopez Island in Three’s Company concerts.
–  Jon Kimura Parker performing Chopin Scherzo No. 2 in B-flat minor, Op. 31 at approximately 8:38pm.
Friday, Aug. 9  
–    Mozart Piano Quartet No. 1 in G minor, K.478, airing at approximately 9pm. To be performed Aug. 13 at 7:30pm and
Aug. 14 at 5:30pm in Moonlit Music concerts.
