Those who watched our 23rd Season found it a truly special and remarkable experience, one not to be missed. If you did miss it, or if you watched but would like to experience it again, we have some very exciting news for you. Beginning on November 12, in conjunction with an OICMF seminar led by Miró Quartet violinist Will Fedkenheuer, all 13 concerts of the Festival will be available for viewing at your leisure through December 31, 2020.
Presented by the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival in July and August, this 13-evening, subscription-based livestream concert series was hosted by OICMF Artistic Director Aloysia Friedmann from the marine-view deck of her home on Orcas Island. The Miró Quartet’s performances of Beethoven’s complete string quartet cycle were broadcast from the Quartet’s home city of Austin, Texas, and the high-definition video feed was produced in real time by OurConcerts.live, with multiple camera angles and high-quality sound. After the final Beethoven quartet concert, Aloysia and OICMF Artistic Advisor Jon Kimura Parker hosted a lively Encore Evening of music with Festival musicians performing from cities all around North America.
There are two subscription options for viewing the Festival concerts in November and December. You can watch any and all you want from when you sign up through the end of the year for $100 (plus $15 service fee), or you can have access to one concert for one week for $15 (plus $2.50 service fee). Start watching on November 12, or any time you’d like after that, at ourconcerts.live/orcasisland.
