Program Notes

If you’ve attended an OICMF Summer Festival concert in recent years, you know that the printed program is an expertly researched and carefully written guide to the music being performed at each concert. Music Annotator Jeff O’Kelly’s knowledge and sense of humor are a highly anticipated feature each year. He writes his program commentary from the tiny community of Lillooet, British Columbia, about four hours northeast of Vancouver, in a gorge cut through the Coast Mountains by the Fraser River. Jeff is the station manager of Radio Lillooet, where he hosts “Snooze Button,” a morning classical music show. He directed the Lillooet Community Choir and, before relocating to Lillooet, and he was a member of the Vancouver Opera Chorus for 20 seasons.
