Christine Lee

A Paris Fulbright Fellow recipient, Christine Lee has been noted by The New York Times as a “clear delight.” This fall, Ms. Lee begins her fourth year as Chamber Music Coordinator for Piano and Strings at the University of Washington. Recent collaborations include a world premiere by Vivian Fung and a recital tour in Bergen, Norway, as part of the Grieg-in-Bergen Festival. Always looking for a diverse range of genres and repertoire, she has also been invited to perform with New York-based baroque ensemble Twelfth Night.
As an educator, Ms. Lee has given numerous masterclasses and worked with students at institutions such as the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Sacramento State University, and Central Washington University. She also spearheaded the creation of a chamber music series at Seattle’s Nordic Museum, “Classical Music Connections,” which showcased Nordic compositions in a wide range of genres.
Ms. Lee was selected as one of two Fulbright Fellows for musical studies in Paris and studied with the renowned French cellist Michel Strauss. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Juilliard School and a postgraduate chamber music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory. Her teachers include Bonnie Hampton and Richard Aaron.
