After careful consideration of the latest Covid-19 figures and local, state, and federal regulations, we are thrilled to announce the release of additional seats for all concerts of the 24th Festival Season of the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival, August 6th – 21st!
Tickets will be available beginning at 10:00am PT on Monday, July 26th.
If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness, we request you do NOT attend in person.
A few important details:
Advance ticket sales ONLY – the box office will NOT be open before concerts.
- All patrons must wear a mask in Orcas Center at all times
- Musicians are fully vaccinated and will be unmasked, without social distancing from each other, but with 10 feet separating them from the audience. All musicians will be Covid-19 tested upon arrival on Orcas Island.
- There will be unoccupied seats between parties.
- Audience members may not go down to the stage area to greet the musicians before or after performances. Musicians will meet and greet patrons on the lawn by the whale in front of Orcas Center following the concert.
We understand that you may have gotten accustomed to fewer restrictions under current state and local guidelines. We ask for your patience given these somewhat stricter rules. The joy of hearing live music again will hopefully go a long way toward ameliorating any inconvenience!
Remember, our 24th Season will also be livestreamed! Details and tickets available here.
Show your OICMF love and support fine music! OICMF masks are perfect for concert-goers, travelers, or anyone else! Our new OICMF logo mask in basic black will accent any outfit and eye color.
Triple-layer, with the two inner layers 100% cotton, it feels cozy and snuggly against your face. The mask has a filter pocket, a nose wire to keep your glasses clear, and deliciously soft adjustable ear straps.

Our newly freshened logo and a few colorful OICMf icons would like to take a bow
The Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival is looking forward to a brilliant future and the opportunity to celebrate our 24th season with you in 2021.
To accompany this bright outlook, we have freshened our logo and added colorful new “iconic badges” which will begin to appear in communications this year. The logo illustration and text offer the promise of a destination event, a world-class music festival on an island surrounded by salt water and snow-capped mountains – Classical Music with a View.
The original logo, the freshened one, and the badges were created by graphic designer Kevin Kelliher of Bellingham, Washington, to interpret our tagline “Classical Music with a View,” written by Ed Wilson of Orcas Island.
Note that the OICMF badges use a playful, italicized “f,” which isa music symbol for “forte” or “to be played loudly” and also resembles the f-holes in the bodies of violins, violas, and other stringed instruments.
We hope you will enjoy this fresh new imagery as we reach out to share our Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival with you this year.
