Driving Directions to the OICMF Office and Orcas Center at 917 Mount Baker Road, Eastsound, WA
You will need reservations for travel to and from Orcas Island on Washington State Ferries. Seasonal schedules are available on the Washington State Ferries website. You will also be required to purchase ferry tickets, either online or at the toll booth at the Anacortes terminal. All tickets for the San Juan Islands are round-trip – tickets are only required for westbound travel. Plan to arrive at the ferry terminal at least one hour before sailing time.
On I-5, travel north from Seattle, or south from Bellingham. Take Exit 230 for Washington Hwy 20 to BURLINGTON / ANACORTES and be in the left or center lane at the stoplight.
Turn LEFT onto Westbound Hwy 20. Drive 16 miles to Anacortes and take the FIRST RIGHT from the roundabout onto Commercial Ave. Turn LEFT on 12th St. / Hwy 20 Spur and follow the signs to the Anacortes – San Juan Islands – Sidney (BC) Ferry, about 2 miles.
From the ferry ramp at Orcas turn LEFT (along with most of the off-loading traffic). Follow Orcas Rd. 8.2 miles toward Eastsound. Rather than turning right into Eastsound Village, turn LEFT on Lover’s Lane (You will see a Washington Federal clock at the corner). After .6 mile the road makes a 90-degree curve and becomes Mount Baker Rd. Continue to the RIGHT, traveling east past the airport on your left and fire station on your right. Just beyond the intersection with North Beach Rd, Orcas Center is on the RIGHT, with a large whale sculpture in front.
The OICMF office is on the west side of Orcas Center, around the back of the building. Turn RIGHT at the end of the building and park in the rear parking area. The Festival Office entrance is a short walk halfway up the service driveway beside the building.
