Eric Liu is CEO and co-founder of Citizen University (www.citizenuniversity.us), which teaches people across the country how to live like powerful citizens. He and his late wife, Jená Cane, co-founder of CU, came to their first OICMF concert in August 2023, two months before her death from cancer. He will never forget that concert – or the kindness of the Festival team afterwards. Mr. Liu was trained as a violinist and played in the Yale Symphony Orchestra as an undergraduate. In high school, he composed a concerto grosso for two violins and orchestra inspired by the Vivaldi concerto on the August 5 and 6 program. Mr. Liu is so grateful for the opportunity to join the brilliant artists and professionals on this stage and the loving community in this hall.
